The Alamogordo Fire Department offers free Fire Extinguisher Training classes and are available to any business and civic group in the City of Alamogordo. 

Class Information

The fire extinguisher class is offered in a classroom setting where your group or employees will be taught the basics of how to distinguish the different types of fires and fire extinguishers, how to inspect a fire extinguisher and how and when to use them.

A live burn is also offered, your group or employees will have the opportunity to put out a live fire with fire extinguishers. For a live burn, your class must have 10 attendees minimum. Your group or business must supply the fire extinguishers being used for the live burn. The live burn can be done onsite (outdoors obviously) or at Fire Station-1 with special arrangements.

Scheduling

Classes may be scheduled months in advanced and should be scheduled at least two weeks in advanced.
